The European registry of clinical trials is expected to be accessible by 2020

The European Medicines Agency will launch a European registry of clinical trials in 2020, which will complement existing registries.
Since 1997, the ClinicalTrials.gov database, maintained by the United States National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health, is the largest clinical trials database and is available to patients and healthcare professionals to find out about ongoing clinical trials in many indications. https://clinicaltrials.gov/

In Spain, the Spanish Registry of Clinical Studies (REec) is a free public database established in 2013 that can be accessed from the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) website. The database is a resource of information on clinical studies with medicines authorized since 2013 and, unlike other registries, the REec includes a summary of the justification of the trial, information on the participating centers and details regarding the recruitment of subjects. https://reec.aemps.es/reec/public/web.html

In line with these initiatives, the European Medicinal Agency will also launch a “website that serves as a public access database on the complete life cycle of all clinical trials conducted in the EU, from the initial review to the publication of results ”.
